Adjusting the solution temperature
If the solution is not the correct temperature, review the instructions here. Or if there is a problem go to temperature problems.
If salt has been added, and not completely dissolved or fully stirred, the solution may stratify(layer) and never heat up. What happens is the heavy solution stays on the bottom, gets hot, and the rest stays cold and never heats up. To solve it, mix it frequently. Be sure the salt is away from the heater and away from the suction pipe and then turn on the filtration system at least twice a day. It is fine to just leave it on, though you should run it for a while before leaving it on, not attended. If the filtration system has not been run for a while, turning it on will cool the solution down a little. Also, running it a long time will heat up the solution.
To adjust the temperature:
Private tank - filter 15 - 30 minutes per week if 1 - 2 people are floating each day.
Public tank - filter 15 minutes per float.
Each time you filter, you should sterilize.
If you use 35% hydrogen peroxide, add about 1/2 teaspoon (1/12 oz or 1.5ml) per floater.
If using the ozonator, plug it in when you turn on the filtration system.
If the correct density is not maintained, the salt can crystalize in the pump. This prevents it from fuctioning until the salt is cleared out. If this happens check the frozen pump section to find out how to handle the situation.
Private tank - every 2 months check the solution depth.
Public tank - every month check the solution depth.
On the rare times that you need to add salt, add 32lb (14kg) for each 1/100 of a specific gravity you want to raise it. For example, if the solution needs to go from 1.205 up to 1.225, add 2 x 32lb or 64lb or in metric 2 x 14kg or 28kg.
In a public tank that is being used most sessions (day and evenings and weekends), clean the filter once a month.
In a private tank with 10 floats/week, clean it once a year. For higher usage, clean more frequently.
If the inside of the top of your Samadhi tank has condensation on it, the top heater is not working or your top is not seated properly. First, check to see if the heater cord coming out of the top at the back is plugged in. Depending upon your room temperature, it takes from 1/2 day to 2 days of having the top heater plugged in before the condensation disappears.
The system is designed to keep the condensation off, not to remove it quickly. If you have the floater comfort control, it controls the top heater, so first check if it is on. The light on the unit indicates whether the heater is on or not. If the light has not been on, turn the controller on and wait a day or two.
If the light has been on, check that the controller is plugged into the power and that the air tubes are connected and the ends aren't split (if the ends are split, just cut off .5"(1cm) and try again). If none of that works then take the floater comfort control out of the system. Plug the heater directly into the power. Wait a day or two to see if the heater works. If none of this works, check with Samadhi.
When the solution is not up to temperature, or the salt is not all dissolved, the solution may stratify and never heat up. So the heavy solution stays on the bottom, gets hot, and the rest stays cold and never heats up.
To solve this stratification problem, mix the solution frequently. Be sure the salt is away from the heater and away from the suction pipe and then turn on the filtration system at least twice a day.
Note that when the pump is run a long time, it heats the solution. If the room temperature is close to 93°, and you have the top heater on or the floater comfort control on, turn them off until the room temperature is at 85°.
If this wasn't the problem, check to see if the sensor is in the snug. If it is not in far enough to touch the liner, then it may be reading room temperature. Put the sensor in until it touches the liner.
If the tank is too hot when you float, move the set temperature down and wait a day or two. Do this two or three times. If you are still having problems, call Samadhi.
Check to see if the temperature control is plugged in and that the heater is plugged into the control. Try moving the set temperature up a degree or two and waiting a day (filter a couple times in that period). If that doesn't work checkout right after dissolving salt.
This happens if the door is opened. It also happens when the filtration system is run. First filtering cools it off when room temperature solution is mixed with the tank solution. Then warms it as it runs longer, due to the hot motor transferring heat to the solution as the solution flows through the pump.
If this hasn't helped, there is a last action you may take before calliing us. That is to check the two sets of parameters in the controller.
If this information hasn't helped, make sure the sensor is in far enough that it is touching the liner. If that doesn't help, check with Samadhi.
